Hi, I’m Mariah! I am a certified pediatric sleep consultant and certified postpartum doula. I still call Seattle home but have lived in Bucks County area for over 20 years. I live in Yardley with my fiance and our blended family of three boys. Two 17 year olds and a 14 year old. We love playing games together in our driveway or  having heated card games at the table. If we aren’t home you can find us either on a baseball or soccer field watching our boys do what they love. We also have a miniature Aussie that keeps us all busy. I am so excited you’re here and I hope that I am able to support you either through gentle sleep consulting or postpartum support!

HOW I WORK WITH CLIENTS...

When your baby isn’t sleeping it can affect the whole family. Having a plan and lots of support can be just what you need to get the sleep that you need and deserve as well as helping your child to self soothe and sleep independently.

POSTPARTUM DOULA SUPPORT

Bringing a new baby home can be overwhelming but it doesn’t have to be. Hiring a postpartum doula can make for a smooth transition and make you feel supported in those first few weeks. You will have someone who is solely there to help you recover and rest.

Client Success Stories

When my husband and I had our daughter, Mariah helped us to adjust to life as infant parents, both in allowing us to get a few extra hours of much needed sleep and guidance in providing the best care for our daughter. Mariah’s expertise was truly invaluable; she helped me become more comfortable and confident as a mother.

Happy Holidays from my family to yours!

I hope everyone is spending time with loved ones and enjoying the holidays🎄🕎
What happens when you combine two postpartum doulas, each with their own specialty? An entertaining prenatal class, of course! Liz Lehman from Nourished Family, a certified lactation counselor and postpartum doula, and I have teamed up to present a fun and engaging class to teach you and your partner all the things you didn’t know that you needed to know. We cover everything from the golden hour after birth to how many hours your 8-week-old should be sleeping. We offer tips and tricks for breastfeeding, helping your baby get longer stretches of sleep, how to bathe and care for these tiny humans, and everything in between.

We offer this 2-hour class at your home or in our space in Doylestown, PA.

In your home - $200
In our Doylestown studio - $125

You wouldn’t put a two wheeled bike in front of your 2 year old and expect them to ride it. You would take the time to teach them!⁣
⁣
When it comes to teaching bike riding, we don’t JUST verbally explain what to do and expect them to follow through: “ok, sit on the seat, balance, and then pedal, you can do it!” ⁣
⁣
They can’t do it, literally can’t.⁣
⁣
We don’t expect that if we incentivize them they’ll be able to magically ride the bike : “If you get on, balance, pedal, and ride down the sidewalk all by yourself I’ll give you a treat!” ⁣
⁣
Once they’ve practiced, had a little support, and learned the skill of riding, then maybe that would be helpful. ⁣
⁣
We also don’t hang on to the bike forever and help them balance or they’ll never actually learn on their own.⁣
⁣
We don’t give them one day of support and completely let go the next day.⁣
⁣
We continually provide them with support, we walk them through it, we hang on to the bike until they start to get their balance, then we slowly let go giving less and less support.⁣
⁣
We give them LOTS of opportunity to PRACTICE. We know with practice and consistency they will learn.⁣
⁣
It is the same with sleep! ⁣
⁣
We must first teach the skill, support them through learning it, while pulling back on our support. We must give them the opportunity to practice it before expecting them to conquer it. We talk about it, role play it, encourage it and build their confidence. ⁣
⁣
If you have the desire to teach your child the skill of independent sleep but are unsure of how to do that, reach out to me! My program gives you a step by step plan, I’ll be there to support and guide you through the whole thing, and we will reach the goal of independent sleep in 3 weeks time!⁣
